Minor Project - Concept Painting - Sunset

This piece is portrays a scene in with the day is slowly coming to an end. I wanted to establish a warm tone to the overall mood and give a sense that this park is a place where the child wouldn't to leave. To help this convey this feeling I added the a city scape in the top right corner and kept the colours very dull in comparison to the focus which is the playground itself.

Minor Project - Concept Painting - Hello

In this paint I focused primarily on the composite. I used the rule of thirds to position the main focal points (being the child and the imaginary friends). I also made sure to have element help guide the viewers eyes toward the tow focal points such as the clouds pointing at the creatures and shadows pointing towards the kid. the thing I'm not happy with is the muddiness of the foreground.

Character Design - Puppy - Concept Art

These are the finish concept pieces for my Mischievous Puppy. I've experimented with some filter effects available in Adobe Photoshop to achieve more interesting textures.

Where to situate my city?

As my city is going to involve a lot of air crafts, it wouldn't make much sense for it to be on flat land. so the options i came up with are these two ideas: high up in the mountains or small rocky islands.
