Minor Project - Concept Painting - Sunset

This piece is portrays a scene in with the day is slowly coming to an end. I wanted to establish a warm tone to the overall mood and give a sense that this park is a place where the child wouldn't to leave. To help this convey this feeling I added the a city scape in the top right corner and kept the colours very dull in comparison to the focus which is the playground itself.

Minor Project - Concept Painting - Hello

In this paint I focused primarily on the composite. I used the rule of thirds to position the main focal points (being the child and the imaginary friends). I also made sure to have element help guide the viewers eyes toward the tow focal points such as the clouds pointing at the creatures and shadows pointing towards the kid. the thing I'm not happy with is the muddiness of the foreground.

Minor Project - Thumbnails

Here I'm trying to establish the park as a whole. I tried out different time of day so add mood and also keeping the colours quite vibrant.

Minor Project - Playground sketch

This is my first attempt at mapping out what I want to have in my environment. Its looking a bit empty at the moment. I think might be a good idea for me to try and do this in Maya using
basic primitives so that I wouldn't have to spend too much time worrying about getting the  perspectives right.

Minor Project - King of the Hill - Sculpting

As part of Pre production I thing it'll be a great idea to create physical sculptures alongside my digital work as I thing this will help me visualise my characters in 3D space.
