Okay - tough love time; you've got a horrible little story here and some great opportunities for character design, environment design and genre-centric art direction and screen direction. This is a gift, and your Art Of etc should be fabulously rich in terms of drawing, expressionism and content. Likewise, your storyboard is an opportunity for immersive storytelling - skewed angles, subjective camera-work, moody lighting and great shadows. What it shouldn't be is half-baked and under developed and content-lite. There are obvious opportunities for a great Art Of document in terms of design and the whole 'fairground' aesthetic. In short, you should be having a great time with this project.
In terms of professionalised workflow re. character design, I want to see some properly articulated model sheets for your characters above and beyond what you're presenting here, so in the realms of these please:
In terms of tone, your story has a feel of one of those creepy 1950s EC horror comics - you might want to look at them as reference in terms of strong composition, sensationalism and expressionistic effects:
