Character Design Feedback
ReplyDeleteI think your research and commitment to this project has really paid off. You central character is rather charming and the expression sheets bring the character to life. I think the overly simple silhouette and design may benefit from some tweaks, so you may wish to revisit this character, possibly adding texture, tuffs of hair, spots of colour etc. But overall, the large eyes, subtle palette, and exaggerated head is very appealing.
I think you fully understand your environments, and these help adding clarity to the storyboards. However i feel you would have benefitted from a more finalised version of the kitchen as this is important for the narrative. I think the background concepts do have plenty of atmosphere, however.
So, in conclusion, this project is well executed and has pushed you out of your comfort zone, which is a good thing to do creatively. However, I still think you may wish look again at the designs and environments in the future. - JW
